I find Japanese Animé to be an especially interesting take on the 19th century. Several of Hayao Miyazaki's films appear to be set in 19th century Europe. Though they are animated, they are often much darker in subject matter than movies created by Disney. Their portrayal of technology is often very fluid merging what was once real and fictional creations. Here is a trailer for Laputa: Castle in the Sky which has a particular emphasis on the industrial revolution.
